Got new neighbours about five months ago and after a while of them living across the road, one of them asked if I could do theirs sometime.
Of course I agreed. However whenever their car was there and they weren’t ‘using it shortly’, the weather was rubbish. Yesterday while doing a colleague’s car I said I’d do it today and prioritised it. Agreed sometime after 1pm to do it so did another neighbours first, just a quick clean but give the interior a good clean too.
Got the neighbour’s Renault Clio Mk3 and while it wasn’t in a bad state, it was neglected, thick dust on the dash and centre console, small stains here and there on the seat bases, faded exterior plastic many scratches (some I just couldn’t do anything about), moss growing around roof/door channels.
I should of took some befores as some bits looked awful but I wanted to crack on in case it was going to take longer than I thought.

I swear I read that as “finally got the neighbor’s car alone”, and thought you were getting kinda creepy.

To me this is not an attractive car.

People think I’m weird about how I treat washing cars anyway.

Ye’, he Clio along with the Peugeot 307 are both meh in my books. They are utilitarian small hatchbacks and that’s it.
The early Mk3 was better looking in my books.
The Mk4 got a bit bigger and that grille came about. The rest of the car was okay but the front, nope, not for me.
It could of been worse, it could of been the Clio Mk3 estate.

It’s not weird if I find it useful.

I came down here to comment just the opposite! I dunno why I’ve always thought Renaults are so handsome. Especially when you compare them to their repulsive Nissan cousins. Lately they’re just crushing it!
These two were contemporaries, except the Mégane had been out for like 5 years by the time the Sentra on that same platform came around.
As for Peugeot, they’ve had a few misses, but they’ve also been putting out great-looking cars overall. The 307 doesn’t really look like much now, but back when it came out? Damn!

The rearends of French cars always seem awkward to me.
